Dear William,

Mommy plays a game with you where she "steals" kisses while you are on the changing table.  You always have so much fun on the changing table and are starting to laugh and almost smile!

Tummy Time!

Dear William,

Mommy did your first tummy time this week.  You did very well.  You have held your head up since you were born, so we already knew you were strong!  You can almost hold your head at 90 degrees!  We are so proud of you.  You burped in the middle of my video, which is par for the course, since you are one gassy baby!

Your Nursery is Complete!

Dear William,

We have finally finished your nursery.  Papa came over and hung Geoffrey the Giraffe and your quilt and shelf.  He also brought the glider that Mommy rocks you to sleep in every night.  Here are some pictures of the final nursery.

Catching Up - "Zero" Pictures

Dear William,

Mommy loves taking pictures and keeping memories, so you are bound to be the subject of about a million photos as you grow.  I plan to take photos each month of your first year and then at least once a year after that.  I plan to take photos in your plush baseball glove, in the recliner in the family room, on or in (once you are big enough) Daddy's cubs jersey and a photo of our family's hands.

Your "aunt" Steph gave Mommy some stickers to help document your first year.  Here are the "Zero" pictures, which I took after we got home from the hospital.

Cousins

Dear William,

A couple weeks ago your Uncle Dave and Aunt Kristen brought your cousins, Cora and Avery over for lunch.  They brought McDonald's, which your mommy craved about every other day when she was pregnant with you!

Avery was born in May and your feet are the same size!

Mommy and Daddy are looking forward to spending lots of time with your Aunts and Uncles and Cousins, including the cousin on the way, who Aunt Jenna and Uncle Rett are expecting in February!  They announced you were due for another cousin while you, Daddy and I were still in the hospital after you were born.  We are very excited!

First Bath

Dear William,

When Mommy and Daddy gave you your first bath, you were very good. You didn’t cry until the very end, and once we wrapped you in the towel, you quieted right down. However, you hate having lotion put on! You start screaming bloody murder as soon as it hits your skin. Does it make us bad parents that we think its cute?

Homecoming and Look Alike

We came home from the hospital on Saturday, August 7.  The day you born it was 100 degrees.  It wasn't much cooler when we took you home.  Here is a picture of how we dressed you to take you home... Funny, huh?

Grandpa Fuerst and Uncle Jay joined Babcia and Uncle Eric at our house to meet you! You look a lot like Grandpa Fuerst!

Hospital Pictures

While we were at the hospital, a professional photographer came to take your picture.  You are the cutest baby ever!  Mommy and Daddy love you very much, and you can see it in the photos.
