Busy Weekend

Dear William,

We had a very busy weekend last weekend!

On Saturday we went down to the Race for the Cure to support Aunt Jenna.  We didn't stay the whole time, because Daddy wasn't feeling great, but here are some pictures we got while we were there:

On Saturday night we went to a wedding reception for Mommy's cousin Melissa and her new husband, Mike Ulrich.  You were up WAY past your bedtime, but seemed to have a good time.  You liked looking at all the lights and of course you were your usual happy self.  Here are some pictures:

On Sunday, baby Emma got baptized and then we went for brunch over at Aunt Jenna's and Uncle Rett's.  Here are some pictures from the day:

10 Months

Dear William,

You are ten months old...AND we FINALLY have TEETH....yes, there are TWO teeth!  Your bottom front teeth have broken through.  They aren't all the way up yet, but we can see them and feel them.

Tonight at dinner you ate a WHOLE BUNCH of diced carrots.  And you didn't choke or puke.  Yippee!  We had a very nice evening as a family tonight.  Your laughter just makes Mommy and Daddy's day. 

Here are the pictures Mommy and Daddy took with your "10" sticker, you can tell the exact point that you got tired of taking pictures.  You were hungry...but Elmo came to the rescue!

Here are some of the things you've been up to lately:

• You have decided that you don't want to high-five anymore.  Hopefully you will figure it out again soon.
• You LOVE to look out the front window.  You usually just kneel and look out, but as of tonight you have started pulling up to stand and look out.
• You always make a bee-line for Phoebe's water dish when we forget to pick it up.  You have soaked yourself a couple times already.  It is pretty funny!
• You LOVE Phoebe's plush pumpkin.  You will crawl over to it and pick it up.  Phoebe is helping to teach you to share because she always takes it away from you.  You think it is funny though, so it is okay.  Plus, it IS Phoebe's toy...
• You don't like your changing table anymore.  When Mommy or Daddy or your teachers lay you down to change your diaper, you scream.  Usually we can "bribe" you with a toy and then you calm down and let us change you, but sometimes you cry the whole time. 
• You are now taking baths in the big boy tub.  You LOVE splashing and playing in the water.  Your favorite things are the drain and the water spout.  You like to crawl over to the drain and touch it.  It is so adorable when you crawl in the tub with your little naked butt hanging in the air!  You also love to let the water from the spout run over your hands.  Here are a couple pictures:

• You play peek-a-boo with your burp cloth now.  You raise it over your head, and wait until we say, "Where's William?"  Then you pull it down and laugh while we say, "Peek-a-boo!"  So cute!
• You will kiss Mommy and Daddy's pictures in the look-book that Mommy made.  You will also kiss the laugh and learn dog.  So far you won't kiss any people yet, but we are working on that...
• You like to flip yourself backwards when you are sitting on Mommy or Daddy's lap and hang upside down.  You even do it when we are standing!
• Before your bath, Daddy always blows on your belly three times.  We call this the "belly-blows."  You laugh hysterically. 
• A couple weekends ago, when Daddy was sick, Mommy took you to run errands.  We saw Grandma and Grandpa at CostCo and Papa and YaYa at the mall.  Here are some pictures:

• You had a sore throat a couple weeks ago and  you REALLY didn't feel good.  You wouldn't let Mommy or Daddy put you down for about 36 hours.  Mommy and Daddy both know how bad you must have been feeling because once you were feeling better Daddy got sick, and then Mommy did too!  That was NO FUN. 

 You might wonder why Mommy takes the time to put all these memories on this blog.  Well, it is quite simple.  I don't want to forget one minute of watching you grow, and Mommy's memory is ridiculously bad.  I want to be able to look back and see pictures and stories so I can remember each moment.  You are the most special little boy, and I will treasure these memories forever.  I love you more than I ever thought possible.  Sometimes at night I tip-toe into your room and watch you sleep.  I rub your back a little and pat your tiny butt.  I usually tear up.  I can hardly put into words how my heart swells as I watch you sleep.  My heart just feels so big, it fills up my whole body and feels like it is going to leak out.  I can't imagine loving you even more, but it seems every day I do.  I hope as you grow I'm able to communicate and portray this love to you.  You are so special.
