More Than Just Teething....

Dear William,

So, you REALLY are teething.  Daddy and Mommy can see two little buds popping up for your bottom two teeth!  You also have a bud on the top too, so you will get THREE teeth pretty soon.  That is exiting news!

However, on Monday night you came down with a fever of 102 and were up pretty much all night.  For about 36 hours you would scream if we put you down.  No fun, no sleep, no work for mommy, no day care, no smiles, no laughs...only tears and whining.  You were so pitiful!  Grandma helped Mommy take you to the doctor on Tuesday and you had a viral sore throat (meaning the doc tested for strep, but it was negative.)  The good news...you did not have an ear infection this time, so your ear tubes are working perfectly!  You were feeling better Wednesday, but stayed home with Daddy to make sure you all better before returning to day care.  Even though you are feeling better, with no fever, you have still been whiny and up in the middle of the night.  It seems you are not taking well to the teething going on.  So, Mommy and Daddy are VERY excited for your teeth, we CAN'T WAIT for them to get here so you can sleep all night again.  We are all very tired and look somewhat like zombies.

This morning we went to the ENT for a follow-up on your ear tube surgery.  We almost had to reschedule because you were sick, but luckily you were feeling better.  You passed your hearing test with flying colors and everything checks out fine.  We will go back again in 6 months.

Mommy and Daddy LOVE you SOOOO much.   We are just TIRED.
