Dear William,
Things have been busy in our lives lately, which is the norm, I guess. You are a blast right now! You have been crawling around and exploring everything. No one in our family has been sick for THREE WHOLE WEEKS! Since it has been a while since Mommy and Daddy have posted to the blog, here is a summary of what you have been up to:
- Here are some more pictures of you looking out the window, from the outside this time. Mommy has changed her schedule around a bit and goes to the gym after work every day. When Mommy comes home, you and Dadda have been waiting to wave to me out the window. The big smiles and waves from you make Mommy's day!

So, for the last 3 weeks no one in our house has been sick...before that though, you had the tummy flu, which thanks to Phoebe landed us in the ER for an evening...when you started puking, we called the doctor's exchange and they asked us if you had hit your head. Well, Phoebe had knocked you over pretty hard earlier in the day, so we had to take you in to be certain you weren't throwing up because of a concussion. After a catscan and tummy x-ray, the ER doc determined you just had the tummy flu. Unfortunately, because of this episode, Mommy's friend Crystal and her family couldn't come by and visit the next day... :-( Before the tummy flu, you brought home a sore throat, which BOTH mommy and daddy caught. We all ended up with a 36 hour fever, but at least we were staggered when we got it. Let's see...Mommy got pink eye at one point... I guess that's all. Hopefully this last three weeks are an indicator that we won't be getting sick so much any more.
You are doing more and "tricks" lately, for lack of another term. You wave on command and do the motions for "SOOO Big" by putting your hands on your head. You love taking all the books off your bookshelf in your nursery, which is a mess, but very cute. You also love to play tug of war with Phoebe. You laugh hysterically when Pheobe chases you and takes the rope back. So fun!
You have become very much the "wild-man" as Mommy and Daddy call you. You have so much energy! You crawl faster than seems physically possible. Both of your knees are permanently red and seem bruised, but they don't seem to bother you. You are know climbing stairs, and anything else you can get your knee over. You can cruise the furniture and "walk" if Mommy or Daddy hold your hands. Sometimes you even only hold on with one hand. You are definitely going to walk soon!

- You have started to have mini "tantrums" in that you throw yourself around when Mommy and Daddy don't do what you want. You get mad when we take things away from you or when we don't pick you up fast enough. Hopefully this behavior starting early will mean it will end early.
- We have been to Chicago to see Dadda's family twice this month. The first time we went up over 4th of July. We did not go see fireworks because it would have been way past your bedtime, but we did get a baby pool, which you had a blast swimming in! Babcia loved seeing you, since it had been a couple months.
- We had a cook out BBQ with Babcia, Grandpa, Uncle Jay, Kerry and Uncle Eric. Here are some pictures. You were waving and doing the motions for "SOOO Big" in your highchair. You love being the center of attention.
- The second Chicago weekend was so that Mommy and Daddy could take you to your first major league baseball game to see the Chicago Cubs at Wrigley Field. It was 100 degrees the day we went, so you got very hot. Luckily, Daddy's friend Kate knew of an air conditioned restaurant in the stadium, so we went there to eat and cool off. Luckily you fell asleep, because you needed a nap. Once you woke up, you were cute for about an inning, giving high-fives and waving at the people behind us. After that you were hungry, hot, and crabby. We left after 5 innings, which we though was pretty good, especially for such a hot day. Here are some pictures from the game:

- You are doing great with finger foods. You LOVE raisins, crackers and....feeding Phoebe! It seems half of what we put on your tray you give to the dog. But she happily eats it, and keeps the floor clean, so Mommy guesses that it is okay. You do not like cottage cheese, but that's okay, because Mommy and Daddy don't either. You actually scraped your tongue off to fish out all of the cottage cheese the night we tried it. Let's see, you still love puffs and poofs, but have graduated to pieces of bread and cheese for snacking. And teddy grams. You love those.
- Mrs. Connors, from Parents as Teachers came again two weeks ago. You are progressing right on schedule, she says. She got to see your "tantrums" first hand and agrees that your terrible twos might come early...
- Grandma bought you some diapers that look like jeans... here are a couple pictures. They are pretty cute:

- We think you are saying more words now, although they are not entirely formed yet. You day "Da" for dog, "Dadda" for dadda, "Momma" for mom, "Uh" for up and "uhhh" for uh-oh.
- We sing lots of songs together, most of them from Sesame Street or to the tune of the "Mommy loves you" song. Mommy just makes up words and talks about out day to the tune. You seem to like it and it relaxes you.
- You LOVE to go on buggy rides at day care. They have a four kid buggy and you get really mad when you don't get to go in it, when it is the other kids' turn. Here are some more pics from day care:
Mommy and Daddy are having so much fun watching you grow!
