Update - TOUCHDOWN!

Dear William,

Mommy and Daddy are having so much fun with you!  It seems you learn to do something new every day!  Here is the LONG list of what you've been up to:
  • You LOVE watermelon and bananas.  You can eat a whole banana in no time flat and then you still want more.
  • You can blow kisses, except you use the back of your hand.  It is pretty cute.
  • Mommy and Daddy can ask you "Where's your Belly?" and you lift up your shirt and pat your stomach.  You seem to know it makes us laugh because you always giggle.
  • You are walking all over.  You are getting pretty steady now, and don't really crawl at all anymore.  You usually walk with your hands out front for balance.  You are definitely picking up speed.
  • You LOVE watching Sesame Street, especially Big Bird, Ernie and Elmo.
  • You HATE to have your diaper changed right now.  It is extremely difficult because you turn over your stomach or try to sit up.
  • You are very smart! Mommy and Daddy can tell you to go get "Elmo" "Fishy" and "Cookie Monster" and you know which toys we mean.  We are very impressed.
  • Your eczema is still pretty bad on occasion, so we still put the steroid cream on you when it flares up.
  • You now have 2.5 teeth and the forth tooth is about to break through.  We brush your teeth every night after your bath.  At first, you didn't really like it, but now you open right up for mommy to put the tooth brush in.  Mommy and Daddy always cheer and high-five after we brush your teeth in an attempt to get you to think it is a fun activity.  So far it seems to be working....knock on wood.
  • You will only eat vegetables if they are cold.  That is how Miss Jennifer fed them to you when you started eating food at day care, so now that's the only way you'll eat them.  At least you eat them...sometimes...
  • You and Dadda are the best buds lately.  Dadda can make you laugh with just a look.  You and Dadda play every day for about an hour before Mommy gets home and you have really bonded.
  • You shake your head no.  You shake your head vigorously no when we say "yes."  You find it hilarious.
  • You do a fake cough whenever Mommy or Daddy cough.  It's funny now, but you will probably get in trouble for it at school eventually, so we are going to have to stop laughing.  It's just so funny, though!
  • Miss Jennifer says you have been playing tag and peek-a-boo with other kids at day care.  She says that this is very advanced play for kids your age.  That just confirms for Mommy and Daddy that you are genius.
  • You love to take all the books of your books shelf in your room.  You laugh the whole time.
  • You have discovered how to make the most high-pitched ear-piercing whining sound!  Mommy and Daddy are not big fans of this sound and wish you would not make it.
  • In the last two days, Mommy and Daddy have taught you how to do the "touchdown" hand gesture.  Just in time for the Bears game tomorrow.
Lastly, here are some pictures from Day Care and our family pictures that Mommy's friend Shelley took a couple weekends ago.

Mommy and Daddy love you SOOOOO much!
Love,
Mommy and Daddy
