The Puke

Dear William,

Even with the rice added to your cereal, you started having some very forceful pukes.  One morning, you spit up so much in your car seat that Mommy could literally wring your clothes out, plus there was a puddle in the car seat AND underneath the car seat.  Edith at the day care has mentioned your massive throw-ups several times, but until that morning, Mommy and Daddy didn't realize how much you were throwing up.  You even had it coming out your nose!  Anyway, that afternoon, we went to the doctor again, and he assured us nothing was wrong, but that we could try switching your formula to see if that helped.  So Mommy and Daddy have switched your formula to the "gentle" version, which has about 1/5 of the lactose as your old formula.  You are still spitting up a lot, but you are not soaking yourself or Mommy and Daddy or Edith anymore.  We hope that once you can sit on your own, you will spit up less.
