Dear William,
Today Mommy stayed home with you because your day care was closed for a snow day. The day care is closed when the Parkway School District is closed, and today school was canceled, so day care was too. Daddy just went back to work after being off since before Christmas, so Mommy stayed home with you. We had so much fun today. Mommy made you laugh so hard you could hardly catch your breath! You made Mommy laugh a lot too. Mommy was even able to get a little bit of work done during your naps, although your afternoon nap was much too short!
Mommy got to feed you cereal, before your bottle, three times today. You are definitely getting the hang of it. Mommy gets you talking, and then your mouth is wide open so the spoon fits in. You are swallowing most of the cereal right away now. You still make a BIG mess, but that's okay. It's really cute. We are going to add peas to your diet in next couple days. Mommy doesn't want to start with green beans because she is afraid you won't like the first veggie you have, and of course you must like green beans, because Mommy thinks they are the best food ever invented! Mommy needs you to back her up on her wish of green beans every night for dinner! He he.
You are very cuddly lately, and lay your head on Mommy or Daddy's shoulder when you are tired. You usually lay your head with your face facing away from Mommy's neck, which is great because your head is super soft and Mommy loves to rest her cheek against your head and feel the softness. It is probably Mommy's favorite thing right now! Another one of Mommy's favorite things is the smell of your baby breath. (Of course this would be your breath when you are not spitting up or belching. Yes, you belch! Sometimes it sounds like a grown man...) Mommy knows it sounds weird to like the smell of your breath, but it is the sweetest smell. Maybe that is why there is a flower named baby's breath.
Mommy had such a wonderful day today with you, our precious baby boy! Mommy can hardly put into words how much she loves you. Mommy feels like she could burst she loves you so much!
Love,
Mommy and Daddy
